-
$3,850 per person

July thru March
- Fishing Description
-
This is the premier peacock bass fishing operation anywhere on the Amazon. In operation since 1992
our outfitter pioneered peacock bass fishing.
With unprecedented levels of services, facilities, comfort and safety, our outfitter quickly became
the number one service provider for Anglers with dreams of top of the line peacock bass fishing.
We will try to personalize each day's fishing schedule to better suite your preferences. Every evening,
the manager will discuss the following day's plan with you.
Our outfitters operation consists of 6 Fly-In Cabin Barges plus the Fly-In Amazon Angel Yacht with the
difference between each option as follows:
- Angel Queen
-
The tri-level Amazon Angel has been carefully designed to please the international angler, with
eight air conditioned staterooms, three large bathrooms with showers, a lovely dining room and
separate cocktail salon - both air conditioned - and an open air top deck with grill and additional
bar. All guests are accommodated in single occupancy rooms.
A typical day starts with wake-up at 6:30am. Breakfast will be served by 7:00am. (you will have
time to prepare your lunch box) and your guide will be ready to leave by 7:30am.
You may start to fish in lagoons 1/2 - 2 hours away. At midday your guide will grill a fish on
a sandy beach and find a shady spot to set up hammocks. You will be able to fish until the
late afternoon when the guide gives you a signal that it is time to return to the Amazon Angel.
Dinner is usually served after all the guests return.
For your comfort and to optimize fishing time, the yacht will travel most of the times during the
night to new locations.
- Fly-In Floating Cabins
-
These Floating Cabins have proved, during our outfitter's 14 year Amazon experience, the perfect
solution, providing mobility, comfort and luxury. Drawing only about 4 inches of water, the small
barges are a break-thru for navigating over shallow water barrieres, away from all fishing pressure.
The ability to by-pass natural barriers is the key to exceptional fishing. It is not uncommon
to see 2 or even 3 houseboats fishing in the same area during a week's fishing. That's a lot of
fishing pressure on a fishery!
Although houseboats and yachts offer the mobility needed to consistently find decent water levels,
they can only reach the frindge of the really good fishing. The houseboats/yachts and even
commercial river boats, must stop where low water prevents passage, and this is where the
great fishing starts! Our outfitter's Fly-In Floating Cabin Barges are 4 to 6 hours upriver (even in
a super fast bass boat from this frindge locations).
And although many land-based lodges are situated at these natural barriers, they become
rapidly overfished 2 - 3 hours upriver or downriver. Our outfitter's Floating Cabins however
move daily to unfished river segments - so you can start the day casting from your room.
Each two-angler bedroom barge has a steel structure 8' X 15' room, fully carpeted wooden
platforms, 4-ply insulated roof, fully screened walls and aluminum entry door, shower
bathroom, standard size beds, air conditioning, 220 volt electricity, etc. The caravan
consists of 9 barges: FIVE bedrooms (4 bedrooms for guests plus 1 bedroom for the host),
one 18' X 10' dining / sitting lounge, one host quarters, one kitchen and one staff bedroom.
You will typically be awakened by 6:30am by one of the members of the staff. Breakfast will
be served by 7:00 and your guide will be ready to leave by 7:30.
You may start to fish in the adjoining lagoons while the Floating Cabins navigate to
unfished river segments.
At midday you may return for lunch and a "siesta" at the fully air conditioned Floating
Cabins or, you may take a packed lunch prepared by our cook and continue fishing until
late in the afternoon.
Appetizers and dinner are served after all the guests return.
