- Fishing Description
-
Sixty miles south of Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada lies the headwaters of the world renowned Eagle River.
Our outfitters lodge is located at a narrow section of the lake with moving water directly in front
providing for some great fly fishing for huge Eastern brook trout, and casting for Northern pike.
Eagle lake forms the headwaters of Eagle River. Although primarily freestone there are numerous
limestone like areas providing excellent dry fly, wet fly and nymph fly fishing opportunities.
Traveling in stable Gander River Boats, your guide will take you to distant inlets and outlets where
you can choose to fish the numerous pools from the boat, or wade fish.
Brook Trout feed on stone flies, mayflies and caddis flies which abound and make-up the
trout's main diet.
For the adventuresome angler there are still many virgin waters to explore in our fishing areas.
