Duiker ("DIKE-er") is Africaans for "diver", due to their habit of bounding into the undergrowth when alarmed. Bush Duikers: The Southern has the largest body and horns and the Western the smallest. They live in more open country than the Forest Duikers. Forest Duikers: Very challenging to hunt, from the smallest (the Blue Duiker at 8 - 10 pounds) to the Yellow-Backed at 100 - 150 pounds).
