After the Big Five, the Spiral-Horns are the most sought after animals in Africa.

Bongo: The Kenya Bongo is listed as not huntable because hunting has been closed in Kenya since 1977. Even when open, the Kenya Bongo was one of the most difficult species to collect anywhere in the world.

Bushbuck: On average, the Cape, Limpopo, Chobe, and East African are the largest, and the Abyssinian is the smallest.

Eland: Eland are the world's largest antelope. The Giant Eland is a separate species and has by far the biggest horns, and is slightly larger in body size than the three sub-species of Common Eland. Of those three, the Livingstone has slightly larger horns on average.

Kudu: The Lesser Kudu is a separate species and about 1/3 the body size of the Greater with horns only half as long. It received the moniker "Lesser" because it has no beard whereas the Greater does. Of the varieties of Greater, from largest to smallest horns are the Southern, East Africa, Eastern Cape, Abyssinian, and Western.

Nyala: These are completely different species. The Mountain Nyala weighs 450 to 550 pounds (twice that of the Common) with larger horns. It is usually hunted at 11,000 - 13,000 feet above sea level whereas the Common is usually hunted near sea level. The Mountain was the last living ungulate discovered by Westerners (1908), and is one of Africa's greatest trophies.

Sitatunga: The Zambezi subspecies is the largest on average. Any mature Sitatunga hunted in the swamps is a fine trophy.
