Argalis: All of the Argalis are magnificent, with the Altai having the heaviest horns, and the Marco Polo rivaling the Altai for length, but exceeding it for beauty. The Marco Polo can exceed 300 pounds and the Altai can exceed 400 pounds. Some Argalis, like the Gansu, are not importable into the U.S. without a scientific permit. Snow Sheep: The Putorana Snow Sheep is not importable into the U.S. without a scientific permit. Siberian Snow Sheep may eventually be divided into Yakutia, Okhotsk, and Koryak sub-species. |
