North American Bear Hunting

Rowland ward and sci world record book score for hunting north american bear.

North American Native Bears

I Want To Learn About:

Barren Ground Grizzly Bear
American Black Bear
Alaska Brown Bear
Common Grizzly Bear
Polar Bear

Brown and Grizzly are the same bear, but separated for record book purposes because coastal bears have access to better feed, including salmon, and milder weather so they are generally larger. Barren Ground Grizzly are also the same bear, but are the smallest because of limited feed and long hibernation. Polar Bear may now be sport hunted only by dogsled. Black bear are hunted by spot and stalk, baiting, and with dogs.
