- Hunt Description
-
The Rocky Mountain Elk is one of three major species of elk in North America and
is the most numerous and sought after by hunters. With an overall success rate
of around 70% the area we hunt has elk of exceptional size.
Hunts can be done while floating down the river, on quads or ATVs, in 4x4
hunting trucks or by spot and stalk while walking and hiking — and
of course calling them during the rut. We also hunt elk from tree stands over
mineral licks and wallows.
A black bear is a great add on to this hunt as they are often spotted in
the berry patches. Whitetail Deer and Mule Deer are also possible add ons.
Should you shoot out early you can take it easy and relax at the
lodge, site see on ATV's, or do some fishing. Or our outfitter can take you back to
the airport.
Bowhunters are welcome and in fact our outfitter is an avid bow hunter himself.
