Hunt Description

Introduced between 1969 and 1977 to the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the Oryx is an African antelope from the Kalahari Desert with both males and females having horns. The male's horns growing a bit thicker, and the female's growing a bit longer.

This a truly a Once-in-a-Lifetime hunt as you have to draw a tag from New Mexico Fish & Game to hunt the White Sands Missile Range, and you can only do so once in your lifetime.

This is a fully outfitted two day hunt, with two guides helping you, and many different weekends allowed by the state of New Mexico to schedule your hunt.

Applications to the state of New Mexico must be made by February 4, 2009. Our outfitter will handle the application process for you. $2,000 deposit required to book hunt and includes the Non-Resident Oryx License fee. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, you will be refunded your deposit minus the $100 application fee.

Camp & Accommodations

You'll stay in a motel close to the hunting area. Lodging and meals are included for the duration of the hunt.

Getting There

You'll fly into El Paso, Texas where you will be met by your guide and transported to the hunting area.

• Excess luggage fee charged by airlines
• Shipment of trophies
• Taxidermy of trophies
• Telephone calls
• Items of a personal nature
• Entry Visa (if required)
• Insurance (Trip Cancellation, Medical Evacuation, etc.)
