Hunt Description

The Southeastern Spanish Ibex is hunted in the mountains and reserves of Tejada, Almijara, Sierra Nevada, Lújar, Cazorla and Muela de Cortes in southeastern Spain. Smaller and lighter in color than the Beceite and Gredos Ibex, but larger and darker than the Ronda Ibex. Horn size and shape vary considerably from place to place, with those from the Sierra Nevada generally the largest. Horns from Tejada-Almijara tend to be the most distinctive, forming a circle with the tips growing toward the neck.

Hunting is done by Spot & Stalk in both National Parks and Private Game Reserves.

As in most Asian and European countries your hunting party will be accompanied by a local game keeper. You should give them a small tip like $10 or a knife.

Camp & Accommodations

Lodging is provided in small hotels close to the hunting ground or in hunting houses when they are present, with excellent food and wine.

You fly into Madrid where you will be met by your guide and taken to the hunting area.

Hunting Conditions

• Minimum 4 days of hunt.
• The hunting program must include a minimum of 2 trophies.
• 16% taxes of final invoice will be added to the total cost (VAT).
• Traveling days are included in the duration of the program.
• When all trophies booked are collected the hunt is considered over.
• The trophy fees should be paid if the animals are wounded and not found.
• Non hunter fees are $180 if no extra vehicles are required.
• For Ibex: Due to game department regulations only two chances are possible to collect the trophies, trophy fees should be paid if missed both times. Two hunting days are the maximum duration of the hunt for one trophy when hunting in national parks due to game department regulations.
