Hunt Description

The biggest wild sheep in the world, the Marco Polo sheep, is found at the top of the world!

This hunt takes place in the Tajic Pamir mountains at the altitude varying from the 3,500 to 5,500 meters. The air is thin and the temperature varies from -20 to +20 degrees celcius, depending on the season.

Although excellent physical condition is preferable, the large population of Marco Polo sheep and the experienced professional guides make it possible for the average person in normal physical condition to successfully hunt as well.

Your Marco Polo hunt begins in the city of Osh in Kyrghyzstan, from where you will drive by car (8-10 hours), which helps you get used to the altitude, to the hunting camp.

Hunting that takes place in the high mountains and starts in the early morning in a 4 wheel drive vehicle with the guides looking sheep. Once spotted the guides decide the best method of approach while considering the physical condition of the hunter.

During the last years, we had many trophies of excellent size varying from 120 to more than 150 cm.

Camp & Accommodations

Accommodations are in a primative hunting house with one bath and a toilet. Food and drink consist primarily of meat, water, vodka and beer.

Getting There

You fly into Osh, Kyrgyzstan where you will be met by your outfitter and/or guide. From there you will travel by vehicle to the hunting camp in Tajikistan.
