Hunt Description

The hunting area for the Yakutia Moose is the tundras in the north of the Russia.

The hunt can be done in September, in the rut season, searching for moose by binoculars from the hillocks in the tundra, trying to approach them through the immense marshes where they live. Or in November, the hunt is done when the tundra is completely frozen with temperatures under 30° C, looking for moose by motorized sleighs, which is a very productive way of hunting.

It is also possible to search the hunting area by helicopter for an additional hourly fee.

Bow hunting is not allowed in Russia.

Remember — This is Russia, be prepared for changes and compromises.

Camp & Accommodations

Lodging is in heated tents without modern facilities. A warm sleeping bag is a must.

Getting There

You fly into and out of Zyrjanka or Srednjekolimsk airport. Depending on your flight schedule you may need to spend the night in a hotel.
