LASERLYTE™ Announces New Hi-Precision Laser Bore Sighting System

Experienced shooters understand that bore sighting a firearm after mounting a scope not only saves time at the range while sighting-in, but that it can save ammunition--hence, money-- in the process. Bore sighting accurately, however, has always been a challenge due to an inability to precisely align the sights with the exact center of a firearm's bore.

LaserLyte of Cottonwood, Arizona has introduced a new Super Hi-Precision Universal Laser Bore Sighting System designed to not only be simple, fast and effective, but also to allow bore sighting accuracy that nearly rivals actual shooting at the range.

Understanding that ultimate precision at the bore results in ultimate accuracy downrange, LaserLyte has developed a calibration system in its Hi-Precision bore sighter that allows perfect alignment of the laser to the central axis of the bore. By calibrating the unit while in a firearm, the shooter can effectively achieve almost perfect bore sighting accuracy-before firing the first shot. The result is not only faster, easier sight-in sessions-but also reduced ammunition consumption during the process.

The new laser bore sighting tool allows quick, incredibly accurate sight adjustments on rifles or handguns in calibers .22 through .50. Included with each Hi-Precision Bore Sighter is a set of four expandable caliber adapters that allows the laser unit to fit snugly into the barrel of a firearm for perfect alignment with the bore. Optional bore adapters for 12 gauges or 20 gauges are also available from LaserLyte.

With the new LaserLyte tool, bore sighting can be done indoors or outdoors--even in broad daylight--at distances from 25 feet to 100 yards. For sighting-in during daylight hours, LaserLyte provides a special reflective Daytime Laser Target with each tool set.

LaserLyte's Hi-Precision Laser Bore Sighter is CNC machined of aircraft aluminum with a stainless steel arbor and brass tapered rotating bushing. Caliber adapters are made of Delrin with brass bushings that allow for a precise fit to the bore. Each unit measures 6.5-inches in length and weighs just 2.5 ounces.

The new laser bore sighting tool features a 635nm laser module that projects a beam that diverges to approximately 2.5-inches at 100 yards--when the laser dot is projected on a target, it is used as the point-of-aim for adjusting the riflescope reticle or iron sights. Powered by (3) A-76 batteries (included), the tool has a total power life of 1.5+hours of continuous run time with an output of 5mw.

In addition to the bore tool, caliber adapters with all necessary fitting screws and a daylight target, the LaserLyte system also includes a calibration adjustment wrench and plastic molded carrying case with complete instructions. Due to the precision of the Hi-Precision Laser Bore Sighting System, LaserLyte also offers a Double Set designed for checking barrel regulation on double rifles. Suggested retail price for the single set is $174.95. The double set retails for $299.95. Both are available at finer gun shops and sporting goods stores nationwide.
