Leupold® Expands Golden Ring® FX™-III Series with Introduction Of Models Designed Specifically for Silhouette Shooters

Dedicated to offering competitive shooters the best in optics, Leupold® introduces two new models in the Golden Ring® FX™-III series specifically designed for silhouette and benchrest shooters.

Weighing in at slightly more than 14 ounces, both the FX-III 25x40mm and 30x40mm Adjustable Objective Silhouette riflescopes are ideal for the stringent weight requirements of many types of competitive shooting, but specifically metallic silhouette shooting.

“Competitive shooting continues to grow in popularity,” said Mike Slack, Leupold marketing communications manager. “As America’s optics authority, we wanted to offer these specialized shooters a durable, high performance riflescope specifically designed for the rigors of silhouette shooting. The FX-III Adjustable Objective riflescopes are lightweight, precise instruments that are backed by Leupold’s legendary service.”

The FX-III’s lockable, fast-focus eyepiece allows for quick target acquisition. With the riflescopes’ adjustable objective, shooters also can adjust the parallax at specific distances, improving their competitive edge. Each are available in either 3/8 or 1/2 min. Leupold Dot reticles. The riflescopes also feature Leupold’s Index Matched Lens System™ for the superior brightness and contrast necessary in distinguishing targets.

Both models feature windage and elevation adjustment ranges of 40 minutes of angle (MOA). Adjustments are easily made with the riflescope’s ¼-MOA adjustment knobs. The riflescope’s adjustment knobs feature resettable pointer dials and are designed to be positioned quickly by hand, without using tools.

The FX-IIIs are constructed with a one-inch maintube and have an overall length of 13.2 inches. The riflescopes also are threaded to receive Alumina® accessories.
