Leupold Golden Ring® Binoculars Now Available in 8x32mm and 10x32mm Models

Leupold® now offers the premium performance of its Golden Ring binoculars in lightweight, compact 8x32mm and 10x32mm models for easy carrying by hunters and naturalists in the field.

"Introduced in 2005, Golden Ring binoculars are the product of our best optics knowledge and technology, and have been recognized as among the best in the world," said Mike Slack, marketing communications manager for Leupold. "These new 32mm objective models are perfect for hunters, birders and other wildlife observers who want a rugged binocular that delivers an extraordinary view, yet is smaller, lighter and easier to carry than a full-size counterpart."

Both the 8x32mm and 10x32mm models weigh just 27 ounces (765 grams). Length of each model is 5.2 inches (132.0 mm).

Golden Ring binoculars have a roof prism design and feature Leupold's Index Matched Lens System™. This lens coating system maximizes total light transmission to the eye. Together with phase coated, super-high reflection prisms, the Index Matched Lens System delivers extremely crisp images, outstanding color resolution, and excellent definition of subtleties and shade.

Other key features include an innovative interpupillary distance lock. This allows the user to set the eyepieces to match the distance between the eyes, then lock them in place. As a result, the binocular is ready to use the instant it is put to the eyes, even with one hand.

Golden Ring binoculars are designed for exceptional balance, and to fit comfortably in the hand. This makes them easy to hold in all conditions and over extended periods of viewing.

Signature brown armor coating on the binocular's body makes for a distinctive appearance and blends into a variety of landscapes. It also provides extra protection against the elements and hard knocks. In addition, the textured armor coating helps make the binocular easy to grip, even when hands are sweaty or in wet or cold conditions.

Golden Ring binoculars are fully waterproof and backed by Leupold's Full Lifetime Guarantee. Other key features:

• The 8x32mm model offers a generous field of view of up to 420 feet at 1,000 yards (140 meters at 1,000 meters), providing a wide perspective that makes it easy to locate objects in the field. The 10x32mm model offers a field of view of up to 356 feet at 1,000 yards (119 meters at 1,000 meters).
• Each model has a close focus distance of less than five feet (less than 1.5 meters).
• The 8x32mm model has a generous eye relief of 17.5 millimeters, while the 10x32mm model has 14.7 millimeters of eye relief.
• Retractable twist-up, three-position eyecups make Golden Ring binoculars easy to use with eyeglasses.
• Each model comes with a comfortable neoprene neck strap, case, and custom eyepiece and objective lens covers.
