New Leupold Golden Ring® VX®-III 4.5-14x40mm Adjustable Objective Riflescope Offers Optical Versatility
An adjustable objective, a wide range of magnification and a compact, lightweight design make Leupold's® new Golden Ring® VX®-III 4.5-14x40mm Adjustable Objective riflescope well suited for most kinds of varminting or hunting.
With the adjustable objective, the user can easily set parallax for specific distances - a particularly useful feature for long-distance varmint hunting. When target shooting or hunting small game at closer ranges, the user can adjust for parallax as close as 25 yards.
The 4.5-14x magnification range provides the optical versatility needed for most small and big game hunting situations. All this power is available in a strong, compact one-inch maintube that weighs only 15 ounces (425 grams) and measures 12.5 inches (31.8 centimeters) in length.
"Numerous requests from hunters and shooters who wanted a conventional adjustable objective VX-III riflescope with the compactness of a one-inch maintube prompted us to develop this new model," said Mike Slack, Leupold's marketing communications manager. "It truly is an outstanding choice for nearly any kind of hunting and offers all the high-performance features and ruggedness of our popular VX-III line."
Other key features include Leupold's Index Matched Lens System™. This lens coating system optimizes light management and maximizes light transmission to the eye, providing an exceptionally bright and crisp sight picture with sharp contrast, even in low-light conditions.
The VX-III 4.5-14x40mm Adjustable Objective is available with Leupold's Ballistic Aiming System™, including the Boone and Crockett™ Big Game reticle and Varmint Hunter's reticle. Each of these range estimating reticles is designed to help improve long-range shooting skills - and to be simple to use. Leupold's Duplex® and Fine Duplex reticles are also options.
For exceptional precision, the scope has finger-adjustable, 1/4-MOA click windage and elevation adjustment dials with resettable pointer dials marking the zero point.
Other key features:
- Lockable, fast-focus eyepiece - the eyepiece can be securely locked once the reticle focus is set, ensuring reliable performance when the scope is brought to the eye
- Adjustable objective design - allows the scope to fit easily into a scabbard, and helps prevent hang-ups on brush that can change the parallax setting
- Waterproof - each scope is filled with nitrogen and sealed with Leupold's proven process to keep out moisture
- Matte black finish - to minimize the possibility of game-spooking glare and maximize concealment potential
Like all Leupold Golden Ring scopes, the VX-III 4.5-14x40mm Adjustable Objective is backed by Leupold's Full Lifetime Guarantee.
