Archieved Product Announcement note: this product may no longer be on the market check with the manufacturer PMC OFFERS 45-90 AND 40-65 TO COWBOY ACTION SHOOTERS With the addition of a 260 gr. .40-65 Win and a 300 gr. .45-90 Win, PMC now offers one of the most accurate and complete (9 cartridges) line of factory loaded cowboy action ammunition. All PMC cowboy action ammunition is designed for performance and authenticity, from the hard cast lead flat point bullets to the "Old West" style packaging typical of the late 1800's. The new 45-90 and 40-65 loads are also authentic reproductions of the historic original cartridges. The .40-65 Winchester dates back to 1887, and was designed for repeating rifles in an attempt to compete with the higher powered single shot cartridges. Fairly popular for over 50 years, rifles that chamber the 45-65 are relatively common, and are popular with Cowboy Action competitive shooters. The 45-90 was introduced in 1886 for big game at moderate ranges. The 300 gr. bullet achieves a flattened trajectory for long shots. The Marlin Model 1895 and the Winchester Model 1886 are popular reproduction rifles chambered for the 45-90. Back to New Hunting Products
