Hunt Testimonials
Thank you so much, Phil, for all the time and effort you put into getting me back to Africa. I really
appreciate the way you stuck with me after my wife's sudden and unfortunate passing in 2008. Even though
I had to cancel our trip on very short notice, you did a great job of getting your outfitter to extend me
a generous amount of credit to apply towards this year's hunt. Without that, I probably would not have
been able to go!
And what a hunt it was. As you know I had a few options as far as which province and which outfitter I
could have gone with. I simply asked you, Phil, for your recommendation and followed your advice.
Having been to Africa before, I really felt like I knew what was what and had pretty high expectations for my
hunt. I was not disappointed. The whole experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The PH's family
and staff, the accommodations, the food, the wildlife...... first class all the way! I thought I had a "once
in a lifetime" African experience in 2006, but thanks to you, Phil, 2009 was a far better one! I can
confidently say that I will continue to use BWBG for future hunts. And I will tell anyone who is interested
in booking a trip through a top-notch professional to get ahold of Phil Whittemore!

Every hunter must consider this safari...I must say Keith's operation exceeded all my expectations... game, staff, comfort etc.
Keith is one tough no bullshit guy with a heart the size of Africa. He runs a very efficient safe operation enhanced greatly
by his wife Susan who was/is in camp with him.
There is something wonderful about hunting on 9 million acres surrounded by God knows how much more open un fenced land. The
terrain is beautifully rugged and then at times wonderfully open plains. Much of the driving puts an entirely new meaning
to 4X4 travel and when you experience the terrain it is obviously clear why Keith has spent so much money completely
rebuilding/retrofitting his trucks.
The camps are wonderful. The main camp is typical of what I am told is in the Caprivi and Delta... it has cement pads
for the tents and spectacular dining and cooking tents with fully functioning fresh water. EXCELLENT MEALS!!!
There are flushing toilets in all bathrooms adjacent to the 3 or 4 tents. Hot showers are supplied every morning and evening
by camp staff who light a fire under each water tank. Great showers!
Keith has designed a excellent solar system for continuous power in the kitchen and a significant diesel generator set far
away supplies the rest of the power for camp.
The second camp is about 3 hour drive in a far off contiguous concession. Keith designed a trailer with full stove, oven,
freezer and fridge powered by a generator and inverter. With 6 in staff the mobile camp is every bit as wonderful and
comfortable as main camp. They even do laundry there too... but the added adventure of this camping is wonderful and exciting
with jackels and hyena howling at night and leopard walking thru camp!!!
There is no shortage of game. We saw endless giraffe. Zebra. Jackel. Kudu. Eland. Elephant. Springbok. Gemsbok. Ostrich.
Steenbok. And plenty of sign of leopard and lion and rhino. But for me the highlight is delivering all the game to the local
conservancy or direct to the various tribes. They are completely dependent on all the meat. The greatest thing is the added
bonus of getting a tribal chief's request to shoot extra game for either a funeral or wedding ceremony. Although the tribes
have an official allocation/quota for game they often don't have ammo or are just plain poor shots. Thats when we assist!!

We had a great time. Henry and Tonya worked very hard and did a very good job. I shot a blesbok, blue wildebeest, 2 impala,
warthog and a nyala. I was just going to email Henry and thank him again. Thanks for booking the hunt.
My wife is already talking about going back!

I want to take the opportunity to thank you and your professional organization for the
greatest hunt of my entire life!! I went on the South Africa plains game hunt in May and
shot all of my animals in 4 days. Then my PH and I decided that we would take a Zebra,
as my wife loves the beauty of the skins. She is so proud of the trophy!!
After I was able to stalk the Zebra we went on a photo safari and never meant to take another
animal... but to my surprise, we were able to harvest a 56" SCI rated Bull Kudu... WOW what a
hunt. I am so impressed with the South African hospitality, and the way they make you a part
of the FAMILY... I will never forget my time there!!! I have enclosed a picture of my Kudu
with his beautiful 4" pearl tops and would like to mention my friend Herman Kellerman, a
native of South Africa, with out his help and love of a good time I would never have booked
the hunt!! To Herman, and all the folks working with Nihan, my Professional Hunter, and to
you Phil my dear friend, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HUNT OF A LIFE TIME!!!!!
To all of you that are considering a hunt in South Africa, they are the greatest people in
the world, Have a Great Hunt there!!!!!
Harold "Butch" Nahrwold
May I also use this opportunity to thank you and your organisation for the very professional way
that the hunting of Butch Nahrwold was running in South Africa. The hospitality was the best,
the facilities unbeleivable and the people we work with always friendly, co-operative and
professional. I was proud to be a South African observer!
Regards
Herman Kellerman
I thank you for your help and am happy to report a very rewarding hunt in in Masailand, Tanzania...
9 trophies including a nice Lesser Kudu that was most important to me... I shot very well
considering that I was a novice... I had only shot one big game animal in my life, 40 years ago,
a California mule deer... I had practiced with an old 22 rifle here in Italy... 3 or 4 times a week
50 rounds each time, for 6 weeks last fall... In Africa I used their 375 Blazer... first three animals
Thomie, oryx and Impala one shot through the boiler room each... then it got more difficult with
the wildebeest 4 shots, jackal 1 shot, Zebra 1 shot, Hyena 4 shots (this was the most exciting hunt.
Had to run straight up a very steep hill to CHASE HIM DOWN and finish him), missed the Grant's
twice but finally got a beauty, and missed the Eland 3-4 times and then decided I didn't like Eland
horns and refused to hunt Eland anymore (Much to the PH's anger)... then on the last day was lucky
to find the Lesser Kudu- One shot!!!
This late season hunt had been rained on enough to disperse the Kudu so I was really happy to get one!

First, allow me to say what a wonderful time I had up in Canada with Lloyd and his wife Lynn. One
couldn't ask to meet better people and wish to go to a more pleasant area than I encountered. I
had a marvelous time. Lloyd has downloaded the pictures he took of me and the Elk I shot, but has
not forwarded them to me as yet. I am attaching a digital photo of the Elk that I opted to go with.
There was one other beast that caught my eye, but I was leery of getting the rack back on the plane.
The Elk I shot took three Weatherby 185 gr. 300 mag. rounds before he would finally go down. All
three rounds were within a four inch pattern, right in the heart/lungs sweet spot. That big guy
took 9 1/2 minutes to finally start to show any signs of being hit. Not a single exit wound either.
The heart and lungs were in pieces. Range was 130 yrds., and he never flinched!
Maybe a Moose next time around.......I wait to see what comes up for next year. I fell in love with Canada.

We just returned from Namibia and I want to thank you for booking us on this wonderful hunt!
There is not enough that I can say good about Danie and Carina and their entire family.
Everything from the hospitality, the food, the accommodations, the game, the ranches, the
vehicles, and the country were nothing less than over the top. The prices that they charge
are FAR more than reasonable for what they offer. The fact that they are family oriented
and made our kids feel so much at home just made all of the difference to all of us.
Please use me as a reference when booking these great people!
Sandy Hurwitz
I could not have been more pleased with your entire operation. From the lodge accommodations,
food, staff, amenities and oh yeah the quail hunt, every aspect was OUTSTANDING! If there is
a group out there that is looking for a superior outdoor experience, this is the place.
I will be going back!

I want to thank you for my [deer] hunt in Uvalde. What a great time I had.

Thanks for a great trip, had a great time.
Mike Axelrad
First I want to express my appreciation to you, your family and your friends for the courtesy
and hospitality shown to us. Because of this, along with some fortunate shots, my sons and I
had a most fantastic hunting trip.
Jim Bickley
All my buddies were quite impressed with my pictures of my bull. Thanks again for a wonderful hunt.
Sam Snow
Thanks for a great [elk] hunt, we had a very good time.
Wayne Potter
Phil, the hunt was great. Lloyd and Lynn did a fantastic job caring for us and the Elk
were awesome.
Dan Muniza
Elk hunt was great.

Joe and I had our Thanksgiving deer hunt with Mike "Butter" Barfield in Alabama.
We had an absolutely great time. The deer are obviously abundant on the land he controls.
There are oak trees everywhere on this property, providing ample acorns for the deer to eat,
and there are nice food plots as well.
I sat in a stand one morning with 6 or more turkey hens and a Jake running around underneath
me. Someone saw a bob-cat and I shot a small coyote as well.
Thank you for setting this hunt up.

I was looking for a spring Alaska coastal black bear hunt. I spent many hours surfing
the web for a hunt that would suit my needs. I told Phil Whittemore at
BlueWaterBigGame.com what I was looking for. Within a week or two, Phil came up
with an outfitter in Ketchikan, Alaska who had an excellent reputation, a high success
rate and was reasonably priced. I told Phil I wanted to book the hunt and he booked
the second open slot for himself! Phil took a monster, 7 ½ ft. PLUS black bear
early on in the hunt. I took my bear which squared just under 7 feet the SECOND DAY!
The outfitter and two taxidermists have told me that they haven't seen a black bear cape
in more pristine condition. I know I'll be booking more hunts through BlueWaterBigGame.com.

Got back Tuesday and just wanted to thank you for taking the time to get me through to
this hunt. What a fabulous experience. If you need me for a reference I would gladly step
up to the plate. Everything was as expected and then some. Got all five critters and
made some great friendships.
Joel Messing
Well, it was all you promised and more. Danie, Carina and E'lwyk were wonderful, as was the
food and facilities. If you ever need to use me as a reference, you certainly may. The
kudu that Wayne and I got are an interesting story too long for this note, but I shot mine
when Danie thought it was Wayne's getting away after being shot late in the evening. They
were "twins" as you can see. The last day, Don Wylie, decided he wanted to get a kudu and
made a deal with Danie. We hunted all day, only seeing small ones, and then spotted this
one right before dark. Don was using my gun, and he and Danie and I stalked this one and
he shot it. Danie and E'lwyk almost fainted when we found it, it measures out to be the
#7 kudu ever taken in Namibia. Wayne and I started to shoot HIM!
Thanks for everything,
Don Cadden
First off thank you for your help. Jarrett bagged a pretty nice bird and we did have
a thunder storm mess us up on the day before with a Tom that was fired up. Everything
was great not to mention Barfield and Curt were real courteous and did work their tails
off trying to find a bird for Jarrett. Thanks for all your help in making it happen
and I plan on contacting you soon about some deer hunts that you might have in Texas.
Good Hunting.

My dream has come true and I want to thank you for helping it come true. Katherine and I had the best
time and Danie & Carina were fantastic.
The quality of animals was crazy, more than I ever expected, the hunting was awesome, not to mention
the food. Every animal was gold expect for my Kudu, which was silver, just gives my an excuse to go back.
Heck even Katherine wants to go back and has asked which animals would I like to hunt next time. Each of
the 9 animals has a special story behind it and I can't wait to get them on the wall to talk about them.
I can't understand why people don't take advantage of such an affordable hunt for so many animals. The
41" gemsbok bull was great and the massive horns on the Eland was a sight, but killing the
Black Wildebeest that might rank #1 in Namibia was a treat and I hope Danie gets a chance to re-measure
and see if the score is correct. Well I just wanted to thank you for such a special trip that meant a
lot to me. I got to do the thing that I love the most with the person I love the most, Katherine my wife.
It just doesn't get any better than that, well maybe a 60" Kudu.
Thanks,
Larry Hoot
My hunt in Namibia was everything you said it would be and then some. I saw so much game that it felt
like I was in a National Geographic special. It is one thing to see herds of Gemsbok or Eland or Kudu
or Wildebeests on television and a totally different thing to see such herds in person.
As you know, several of my animals qualified for gold medals and my wildebeest will probably wind up
in the Namibia record books. I will always remember my Kudu and the Gemsbok as well. Thanks for
arranging such a great hunt. Jan, Danie, Carina, and Ludwyk and all of the skinners and workers were
just marvelous. I will remember them and the hunt with great fondness.

Just a note to tell you what a great time I had hunting pronghorn last weekend. A very professional
operation. The food was delicious and the friendly, family-style atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed
hunt like this. Most of us filled our tags the first day and only three gentlemen who were looking for
trophy bucks were hunting on day two. Additionally, those three had passed up many different shots at
quality animals. Personally, I had the opportunity to take several good bucks and ended up with a 14.5"
buck that I was very pleased with. This was my first pronghorn hunt and I'm looking forward to doing it
again next year. Thank you for your efforts.
Respectfully,
Aaron DeVault
Wanted to thank you again for the help in the polar bear hunt, everything went well and I really enjoyed myself.
Sincerely,
Randy Muns
Thanks for the opportunity Phil, I had a great time at the New Mexico Antelope Hunt!
Jay Symcox
Just a short note to let you know that I had a good hunt over the weekend. I enjoyed meeting the ranch
owners and their son and ranch manager and the other guests. Thanks for setting this hunt up for me.
Regards,
Robert Rodd
I was very pleased, and surprised to find Namibia not the backward country that I had envisioned. Every
thing went according to plan, from the airport pick-up to drop-off. The hunting lodge was very
comfortable, the food great, and the hunting was exciting. I got my Kalahari Springbok the first day,
and had to hunt for the Damara Dik-Dik. But Danie would not give up, and we did get him on day three.
He was a very old male with two females with him. A record book entry, and a great addition to my pygmy
antelope collection.
Thanks for steering me in the right direction.
Jim Davis
I would highly recommend you guys to anyone looking for a first rate quail hunting experience for a
corporate group. David and his wonderful group of dogs make for a memorable hunt. The staff were
friendly and knowledgeable, the dining was second to none.
